About JJ-Lurgi
JJ-Lurgi Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is a joint venture between Jebsen & Jessen Pte. Ltd. and Air Liquide Global E&C Solutions, Germany (acquired Lurgi GmbH, 2007). We were incorporated in 1992 and our HQ is located in Shah Alam, just outside of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. JJ-Lurgi designs and supplies process technology and equipment for crushing and oil extraction, edible oil refining, FAME biodiesel production, oleochemical processes for fatty acids, glycerine purification, fatty alcohol and more.
We have over 150 staff located in offices across the world to serve our customers. Together with our joint venture partners Jebsen & Jessen and Air Liquide, we have a global reach with a strong base in our Malaysia – Germany partnership.
Our History
In 1897, the Metallurgische Gesellschaft was founded under Metallgesellschaft AG. Its middle letters LURGI were used as the cable address. Lurgi would soon offer solutions to the vegetable oil industry, and the brand became synonymous with innovation and longevity. The Lurgi office still sits on ‘Lurgiallee’ (Lurgi Alley) in Frankfurt, Germany until today.

JJ-Lurgi is proud to have built the largest multiseed extraction plant of 4000TPD, specializing in soybean and rapeseed in China.
